School Flood Clean Up
During last year's old high school flood incident, the class was asked to help pick up as well as move furniture over to the Presbyterian Church, so that the little “guys” could go back to learning. We also moved the FACS furniture upstairs of the school. On top of it counting towards our group hours, I think for the most part we all had fun everyone took a part in something which shows good teamwork! I mainly moved papers and smaller light items over to the church, and left the heavier items to the hot shots. I enjoyed doing it mainly because got me out of class, but more than anything the ending part in my opinion was the best part because the whole class was in on a game of hiding seek which if you’ve been in the Presbyterian Church then you’d know that there is endless hiding places, and more than anything it was a total class bonding experience, which allowed me to get to know some sides of people that I didn’t know. |
*During my time at wellness night I not only enjoyed getting out of the house but I also enjoyed helping out with something different involving kids. We had lots of fun playing the random games we had previously help set up, and at the end we enjoyed a sweet snack.

Border Queen Cruisers Car Show summary
I first arrived at this event at 7:30am for my volunteer hours. We began with getting out all of the music equipment they needed for their background music at the car show. We played a big part in the raffle ticket drawing, as they pulled the tickets out of the fish bowl and called people by their number and we quickly handed them their prizes that they had won. At some point in this event I helped inside the food truck where we prepared food for the customers. Other than these few activities Trevor and I walked around and made sure nobody needed anything and was happy with their experience at our towns annual border queen car show. |
